Zamioculcas Zamiifolia - 6"
Container Size: 6"
Light: Thrives in low to bright, indirect light conditions. It can tolerate low light levels, making it suitable for various indoor environments.
Temperature: Prefer temperatures between 65-75°F but can tolerate slightly cooler or warmer temperatures. Avoid exposing them to temperatures below 55°F or sudden temperature fluctuations.
Water: Allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings. ZZ plants are drought-tolerant and are susceptible to root rot if overwatered. Water sparingly, especially during the winter months when growth slows down.
Humidity: Can tolerate normal household humidity levels but prefer slightly higher humidity. They are adaptable to dry indoor environments.
Soil: Use a well-draining potting mix, such as a cactus or succulent mix, to prevent waterlogging. A mix with perlite or sand can also improve drainage.
Fertilization: Feed sparingly during the growing season (spring and summer) with a balanced, water-soluble fertilizer diluted to half strength. Avoid fertilizing in fall and winter when growth slows down.
Pruning: ZZ plants are low-maintenance and typically do not require pruning. However, you can trim off any yellow or dead leaves as needed to maintain a tidy appearance.
Propagation: Can be propagated by division or leaf cuttings. Simply separate the rhizomes and plant them in separate pots, or take leaf cuttings and root them in a well-draining potting mix.
Toxicity: Toxic if ingested and may cause gastrointestinal issues. Keep them out of reach of children and pets.
