Rosemary
Fall in love with the wonderful aroma of this versatile herb. It complements meats and vegetables, brings its unique, piney flavor to breads, and blends well with other herbs. A beautiful ornamental, it grows well in containers indoors or outside, and pollinators love the lavender flowers. Perennial in USDA zone 8 and warner; otherwise grown as an annual or indoors. Fairly drought tolerant once established. Deer resistant. This packet sows up to 10 feet.
When to sow outside: 1 to 2 weeks after your average last frost date in mild climates, and when soil temperature is at least 60°F.
In cold climates, sow in containers to grow outside during summer and inside during winter.
When to start inside: RECOMMENDED.
10 to 12 weeks before your average last frost date. Ideal soil temperature is 65°-75°F.
Special germination instructions: Rosemary has a naturally low, and slow germination rate. Light aids germination; press seed lightly into soil surface.
