Potato Clancy hybrid
Potato Clancy hybrid
We’re excited about a potato grown from seed! ‘Clancy’ grows in a diversity of colors and has great quality; it even won the 2019 All-America Selections award! Small, ¾”-1 ½” “creamer” potatoes are both round and oblong. The smooth skins come in a mix of shades from yellow, to rose gold, to red, and the interior is pale yellow to white. To increase harvest, hill soil around plants a few times as they grow. Potatoes also grow great in a large, deep container. Harvest any time after they flower and before a hard freeze. Seeds are pelleted with an organic coating for easy handling; do not soak/remove coating. This packet yields approximately 9 plants when started indoors.
When to sow outside: Not recommended.
When to start inside: RECOMMENDED.
4 to 6 weeks before your average last frost date.
In mild climates, start seeds in mid-summer for a fall crop. Ideal soil temperature for germination is 60°-70°F.
