These bright red radishes are perfectly round and have pure white flesh of delightful flavor and crispness. Strong, short length tops make pickling easy. Roots remain firm long after picking.
SOWING…Plant seed outdoors as soon as the ground can be worked. Plant rows 12 inches apart, spacing seeds ½ inch apart in the row. Cover seed with ⅛ inch fine soil, well pressed down. Keep moist until plants start to grow.
THINNING…When plants are 1 to 2 inches tall, thin or transplant, spacing plants 2 inches apart.
GERMINATION…Germinates in 7 to 10 days depending on soil and weather conditions.
REMARKS…Radishes may be planted in the same row as slow growing vegetables such as carrot or lettuce. To grow the best radishes, the crop must grow quickly; therefore, the soil must be loose and enriched with fertilizer.Share
