Return Policy

  • Returns within 10 days of purchase:
    • Unplanted plants in original container and condition will be refunded to the original payment method.
    • Planted, damaged, or unsellable plants will be issued a gift card for the original purchase price.
    • Unused merchandise in original packaging/condition will be refunded to the original payment method.
  • Returns after 10 days from purchase will be issued a gift card for the original purchase price.
  • Purchases paid by check will be refunded as a gift card.
  • Original receipt and merchandise are required.
  • If your purchase was made using your Deneweth's Loyalty Rewards account, we can look up your purchase history for the item.
  • Gift cards cannot be returned.

Returns Within 10 Days of Original Purchase

To recieve a full refund, a receipt is required*

*Receipt required. If your purchase was made using your Deneweth's Loyalty Rewards account, we can look up your purchase history for the item. Plants/products must be in the same condition as when it was purchased. Plants that have been planted, not in their original container, or have not been brought back in their entirety will not be refunded. Please use your discretion when planting before/after the appropriate window as Michigan climates are very unpredictable. General rule of thumb is to plant between Mother's Day and Memorial Day.

Returns Purchased More Than 10 Days Ago or Returning A Planted, Damaged, or Non-Saleable Plant

You will receive store credit for your item or a replacement if you prefer. If the same plant is no longer in stock, a store credit will be issued. This credit does not expire, and can be used at any of our locations.**

Plant Warranty

Trees & Shrubs

  • 1 Year Warranty - Warranty begins on date of purchase

Excludes: Roses, Azaleas, Rhododendrons, and Butterfly Bushes

Annuals, Perennials, & Select Flowering Shrubs 

  • Warranty valid through October 31 of the purchase year

Includes: Annuals, Perennials, Roses, Azaleas, Rhododendrons, and Butterfly Bushes.

Warranty Conditions

  • Original receipt and plant required.
  • Approved warranty claims are issued as a gift card for the original purchase price.
  • Sale items are covered under warranty for the sale price only.
  • Replacement plants are not covered under warranty.

Warranty does not cover:

  • Frost or weather damage
  • Drought or improper watering
  • Animal damage
  • Neglect or improper care

Deneweth’s Garden Center reserves the right to modify or void these policies at any time.

*Warranties do not cover acts of God, frost or drought (intense weather). We reserve the right to void any/all warranty coverage due to lack of watering, neglect or providing false customer information. This means...

  • Neglect and weather are not covered by our warranty. This includes excessive rain, late frost, improper watering, neglect, and animals who may find your new plants just as appealing as you do.
  • Replacement plants are not warranted if you have planted before or after the appropriate planting window where there may have been frost damage.
  • Warranties begin on the original date of purchase.
  • Sale items are warranted for the sale price only.
