'Moskvich' translates to "inhabitant of Moscow", paying homage to the area where it was bred in the early 1970s (more information inside packet). After a winter without homegrown tomatoes, it will be the first one you will harvest, as it withstands cool weather. At the end of the hot summer when temperatures cool off, it is the last to slow down in production of full- size, garden-fresh fruit. This packet yields approximately 16 plants when started indoors.

When to sow outside: For mild climates only: 1 to 2 weeks after your average last frost date, and when soil temperature is at least 60°F.

When to start inside: RECOMMENDED. 4 to 6 weeks before transplanting.
Transplant when air temperature is 45°F or warmer, usually 1 to 2 weeks after your last average frost date. Ideal soil temperature for germination is 70°-90°F.
