A low growing herb that is a mainstay in french cooking, should be grown in every home garden for ornamental and border effect. Invaluable for aromatic, medicinal and flavoring purposes.
SOWING…Plant seed outdoors as soon as ground can be worked. Plant in rows 18 inches apart spacing seeds ½ inch apart in the rows. Cover the seed with ⅛ inch of fine soil well pressed down. Keep soil moist until the seeds start to grow.
THINNING…When plants are 2 to 3 inches tall, thin or transplant 6 to 8 inches apart in the row.
GERMINATION…Germinates in 14 to 18 days depending on soil and temperature conditions.
REMARKS…Dry for winter use, gather on a dry day when flowers on plants are fully opened. Hang leaf spray in a cool shed or room until dry. When dry, remove leaves from stems and seal in wide-mouthed bottles.Share
