Attractive annual should be grown in every home garden. Produces beautiful star-shaped blue flowers and cucumber-flavored leaves. Used for flavor in salads, cream cheese, tall drinks or cook and eat like spinach.
SOWING…Can be sown as early in the spring as the ground can be worked. The soil should be spaded deeply and the seed sown ⅛ to ¼ inch deep in rows 18 inches apart.
THINNING…Thin 6 to 8 inches apart when the plants are 2 inches high.
GERMINATION…Germinates in 14 to 18 days depending on soil and weather conditions.
REMARKS…Flowers are used fresh for salad decorations and flavoring. Also leaves may be boiled like Spinach.Share
