This fine loose heading variety has very light green, frilled and crumpled leaves with a fringed edge. Forms a compact bunch of crisp brittle leaves of excellent flavor in a remarkably short span of time.
SOWING…Sow seed outdoors as early as the ground can be worked. Plant in rows 15 inches apart spacing seeds 1 inch apart in the row. Cover seed with ¼ inch of fine soil, well pressed down. Keep soil moist until plants start to grow.
THINNING…When plants are 3 to 4 inches tall, thin to 6 to 8 inches apart.
GERMINATION…Germinates in 7 to 10 days depending on soil and weather conditions.
REMARKS…As heads develop, cut every other one to allow others to develop. For continuous supply, plant every few weeks throughout the season.Share
