Poppy California Mixed
Poppy California Mixed
Annual
Height 12 inches
This mixture contains single and semi double flowers on dwarf compact plants. Colors range from delicate pastels to brilliant reds and yellows. They make excellent begging plants or cut flowers when picked before the buds open.
SOWING…Plant seed outdoors after all danger of frost is past where plants are to remain, as California poppy does not transplant well. Plant in rows 6 inches apart and cover seed with ¼ inch of fine soil.
THINNING…When plants are 2 to 3 inches high, thin to about 6 inches apart in row or bed.
GERMINATION…Germinates in 7 to 14 days depending on soil and weather conditions.
REMARKS…Easily grown in any soil and blooms profusely for a long period. Blue ageratum makes an excellent border for a bed of California Poppies.
