Morning Glory Giant Mixed
Morning Glory Giant Mixed
Annual
Height 10 - 15 feet
Probably the best known rapid climber, excellent for covering arbors, trellises and stumps. Very large flowers 3 ½ to 4 inches across in shades of pinks and blues, open in the morning and close in the afternoon.
SOWING…Plant seed outdoors after all danger of frost is past, or start indoors 4 to 6 weeks earlier. Plant seeds 3 inches apart and cover with ½ inch of fine soil.
THINNING…When plants are 2 to 3 inches high, thin to about 6 inches apart in the row or bed.
GERMINATION…Germinates in 14 to 21 days depending on soil and weather conditions.
REMARKS…Seed has a very hard coat and better results will be obtained if the seed is soaked in lukewarm water for 24 to 48 hours before planting. Morning Glories prefer dry, sandy soil. A southern exposure will add to more continuous blooming.
