Annual

Height 8 to 10 feet

Stunning, deep purple-scarlet flowers 3 to 4 inches across showing a white tinted throat. Flowers open in the early morning and fold in the afternoon. Plant seeds to grow on arbor or trellises or as a ground cover.

SOWING…Plant seed outdoors in a sunny location after all danger of frost is past when soil has warmed to 60°F to 70°F, or start indoors 4 to 6 weeks earlier. Plant 3 inches apart and cover with ¼ inch of fine soil, well pressed down. Keep soil moist until seeds start to grow.

THINNING…When plants are 4 inches tall, thin to 6 inches apart in the row or bed.

GERMINATION…Germinates in 8 to10 days depending on soil and weather conditions.

REMARKS…Better results will be obtained if the seed is nicked and soaked in lukewarm water overnight before planting. Morning Glories prefer average soil, moderate watering, no excessive fertilizing. Continuous blooms from mid-summer to early fall. Seeds are toxic if ingested.
