This flower is worthy of a place in every garden as it makes such a glorious display of long-stemmed spikes bearing pea-shaped flowers. Useful for mixed beds, borders and cutting. Blooms mid summer through early fall.
SOWING…Plant seed outdoors after weather is settled. Space seeds 3 inches apart in rows 1-2 feet apart and cover seed with ¼ inch of fine soil, well pressed down. Keep soil moist until seeds start to sprout.
THINNING…When plants are 2 to 4 inches tall, thin leaving about 1 foot between plants.
GERMINATION…Germinates in 10 to 15 days depending on soil and weather conditions.
REMARKS…Lupine prefers full sun but will tolerate partial shade.
