Cosmos reach the height of their beauty in the Autumn when they become one of the dominant flowers in the garden. Given plenty of room, the tall plants branch freely producing abundant flowers. Heat and drought resistant. Excellent in large beds as well as for cutting.
SOWING…Sow seed outdoors when danger of frost is past or start indoors about 3 weeks earlier. Plant in rows 2 feet apart, spacing seed 1 inch in the row. Cover seed with ¼ inch of fine soil well pressed down. Keep soil moist until plants start to grow.
THINNING…When plants are 3 to 4 inches tall, thin or transplant to 1 to 2 feet apart.
GERMINATION…Germinates in 8 to 15 days depending on soil and weather conditions.REMARKS…Continues to bloom until frost if flowers are kept picked. Does well in any sunny location.
