Coreopsis Lanceolata
Perennial
Height 2 feet
This Coreopsis is a hardy perennial that generally blooms the first year from seed. The beautiful large yellow flowers will bloom uninterrupted on established plants until frost. Flowers are borne on long stems and if cut young will last for several days in winter.
SOWING…Sow in a sunny location during early spring through mid summer. For best results, loosen soil with rake or hoe. Cover seed with ¼ inch fine soil well pressed down. Keep moist until plants begin to grow.
THINNING…When plants are 2 to 3 inches tall, thin to 12 to 15 inches apart.
GERMINATION…Germinates in 7 to 21 days depending on soil and temperature conditions.
REMARKS…Wildflowers require little care. Water only when necessary. For additional plants, divide clumps after 2 or 3 years of flowering.
