This heat resistant variety bears extra large blooms that are graceful and less formal than the regular strains. Longer and straighter stems, clearer colors with a wide range from creamy white shading to a soft light yellow through pure lemon yellow, and two-tone apricot effect to a true persimmon-orange.
SOWING…Sow seed outdoors as early as the ground can be worked or as late as mid-summer. Cover seed with ¼ inch of fine soil, well pressed down. Do not cover seeds deeply. May also be started indoors in March or April.
THINNING…When plants are 3 to 4 inches high, thin or transplant to 12 inches apart.
GERMINATION…Germinates in 1 to 2 weeks depending on soil and temperature conditions.
REMARKS…Thrives in cool temperatures but satisfactory results may be obtained by sowing as late as early July.
